How are people getting iridium from space?

It's coming down from the sky into their tank. So essentially, they have unlimited iridium. How did they do this?

It's not the S.S.I.M, it was going into their tank. The S.S.I.M laser just goes straight up from where it was placed if it was producing a strike. The people had lasers going into their tanks from anywhere they went on the map.

I think he means a Distributor Cap...

This thing happened to us that we had a Barge with a Distributor Cap on it, so it was connected via the Iridium beam thingy from a Distributor. So when we tried to drive the Barge, it glitched and flung somewhere, but the beam stretched for some reason and connected to the barge from like half the map. Maybe something like this happened to you but it glitched the players?

Also it could have been hackers, even though I think that f it were hackers, they wouldn't make it visible.

Anyway, if you see it again, take pictures, a lot of pictures, and perhaps a video too.

its called a transceiver its infinite range pipe

ElectricGun100 is right, they probably used the new Transceivers.

But he said that it went straight to their tank, wherever they went, meaning it connected to their Mounted Tank, and Transceivers don't connect to player tanks

and he said it came from the sky, but if it was a transceiver, wouldn't he have seen it? (then again, if he had low graphics quality and they had a skybase, it could have looked like it was from the sky...)

He probably didn't see exactly where the beam was. It was most likely an ssim beam and the player was standing next to it.

This is not an official feature of the game and it is likely the players were not actually receiving iridium, note that Eclipsis is a very erratic and unstable game. This is likely a visual glitch. For example, the fluid bar in the backpack got stretched up infinitely, although that's not what necessarily happened. Eclipsis is full of visual glitches and strange phenomenons, I don't think the players would be able to replicate the glitch again consistently, and I don't think it ever actually functioned as it appeared(powering the backpack).

Idk if you knew this, but if you break limit on a tank or a backpack and fill it with unlimited iridium using hacks, don't ask how I know this, but if you do this It will make a beam going forever. Most hackers will place these tanks below map so they are not visible when unlimited iridiumed but I don't know if it works this way anymore as I saw this happen a long time ago. (The hacker was on my team.)
