The Condenser is an Extractor. Its production varies depending on the altitude of the condenser. Once built, the condenser will start to condense iridium found in the atmosphere and move it to its output pipe.
The Condenser is an excellent option to power bases that are at high altitudes. The prime examples of this are Skybases. However, they are very ineffective at ground level.
The formula for calculating how much a Condenser will produce at a given altitude is as follows (where x equals blocks above ground level):
min(max(1.2 + 0.2x, 1.2), 5.2)
As of December 23rd, 2018, this and other extractors now have a display showing how much iridium they are producing each second.
Pros & Cons
- Can be placed anywhere
- Can produce iridium for high-altitude bases
- Expensive for the amount of iridium produced
- A large amount of space and number of condensers are needed to power a base
