The Fabricator is a structure that, when connected to a reliable iridium source, can fill in nearby blueprints. The fabricator looks like a taller version of the automechanic. The fabricator costs 550 Iridium and it is located while the portafab is in your hand in the technology category and in structure tech. It uses 16 iridium per second to build.

The fabricator is a great device while building up your base because it eliminates the need for constantly gathering iridium. The fabricator is a pretty common thing to see in many bases. Destroying one would be a good idea to slow down the base building process and give you an upper hand.

Pros and Cons

  • Useful for speeding up building and or building things without you needing to be there

  • Like the automechanic, cannot do its thing on more than one thing at a time
  • Can accidentally build things you misplaced, making you waste time destroying them
