The Submersible is an Extractor. It must be placed with its rod in the Iridium Ocean to be able to produce iridium. Once built, it will draw iridium out of the ocean and move it to its output pipe.

The Submersible are best to be used to power Seabases, as they can not produce iridium without being submerged in the ocean. If used properly, they can produce enough iridium to power a large base.

As of December 23rd, 2018, this and other extractors now have a display showing how much iridium they are producing each second.

Pros & Cons

  • Very small volume for amount of iridium produced
  • Can be placed anywhere in the ocean

  • Very expensive, especially early-game
  • Difficult to build because of the ocean's fumes
  • Difficult to defend
